went into dealer because pre-heat light was lit on dashboard.
The dealer said that this is because of a faulty glow plug but they will have to put the computer on the car to find out which one is faulty.
They then said this is not covered under warranty does anybody know if this is correct or why is this not covered.

Looks like MB are saying that g/plugs are a 'consumer' item and therefore not a warranty issue.....The plugs are very easy to remove (i renewed mine recently for the same reason) , all you need is a long reach 3/8 drive 10mm socket and long reach pliers, it's best done with a hot engine to reduce the risk of a seized plug. The plugs are £12 each and best to renew all 5 of them as they usually fail within a short period of each other.
You will save megabucks if you do it yourself.
