Hi there,

I have an issue with my both my side doors. If I unlock the door they can only be opened from the inside. Once they are open then the outside handle will work. Child locks are off on both sides.

Any suggestions gratefully received

One of mine has just started doing that yesterday, perhaps a loose cable connection inside the handle?
Will have to try and pull the door panels off and have a look when I get a chance

Can anyone offer some advice on removing the inner door trim panels on the sliding doors?

I had a go at removing mine last night and it was quite a struggle to access it but I've got most of the clips off without too much damage up to the top where it fits under the window (mine is a 115 dualiner with trim panels all the way through the back). I can't work out which way to pull the top bit to get it off and want to be careful as any damage here will be more visible.

So I managed to get the interior panel off without too much damage, I'll add some details on the other thread later

I got the lock mech out and it seems to be a mechanical issue rather than electrical but I've not opened it up to have a look yet.
Assuming I need to replace it does above know if it's a direct replacement or does it need to be coded to the vehicle? And are there left and right side versions?

There are specific locks for L and R and they are not coded to the vehicle. Yours has child lock aswell so you need to ensure the new one has it aswell . The part number will be on it , A639 something .
