My w245 have 225.000 km on dash... Have anybody change clutch and flywheel? Most expensive service for sure.
Have some vibrations on pedal clutch when starting car, odd smell like burning came from engine bay. Clutch plate I think...
Mechanic told me that I can be lucky as clutch and flywheel overcome 200.000km but to wait while things broke... . Original first part in w245 is Sachs or LUK or maybe Valeo?
Original cat. numbers: A0242509601 clutch set and A6400303905 flywheel.

Please share opinions and user experience...

I would change the clutch and pressure plate as needed including the throw out bearing..but would think of cleaning up the flywheel surface before changing it. In the past ..flywheels were not changed unless damaged.

A quality machine shop should be able to resurface your existing flywheel if necessary. So long as there is no scoring or excessive glazing, just wiping the flywheel down should be sufficient before installation of any replacement clutch kit.

It's quite possible that MB is now making cheap flywheels that inherently wear down, but that just seems so unlikely. It's only ever a concern if there's a severe glaze or cracking, or if you've opted for a lightened flywheel for racing reasons. If the pressure plate is still good, you might even be able to just replace the friction disc, but you won't know until you tear it apart and examine the fingers on the pressure plate itself.

I used a Sachs replacement in my 190E, but I've also used LUK clutch kits in my big Ford F350; I've heard good things about Valeo, as well. You can't go wrong with any of the three brands in my opinion. Be sure to check the condition of the pilot bearing in the flywheel, and also might be a good idea to just throw on a new throw out bearing as well if the original shows signs of excessive wear.

Many thanks for answers...
LUK and Sachs is available here. Mechanics combines a LUK clutch set and SACHS flywheel as both are good but prices for single items are much cheaper.
Best founded prices:
LUK clutch set 415 0379 10 is 200EUR
SACHS flywheel 3000 951 197 is 460EUR
