Ah, you need online account to scn the CGW. Recommend finding a Indy nearby, or go to dealer and have them code it.

In regards to your pm, an Indy is shorthand for independent, meaning a mechanic shop that's independent from the dealer.

Any old Indy won't be able to do it, you need to find one that specializes in Mercedes, they likely have the equipment or the account to be able to do it. Often are cheaper than dealer.

Or go to dealer.

Online account costs $6000 a year... It also comes with SDS when you buy it from Mercedes.... Only costs $38k!

Tuned ECU for what? We're talking about CGW here, it's a router for all modules in the car to communicate with each other.

This is a separate module, has no bearing on ECU.

Can you enter Control Units/Body/CGW and get past the message you posted above?
Oh and I screwed my car up with this
Can you elaborate on this statement? It sounds like the Central Gateway lost its coding and now the vehicle is unaware of the options that Daimler installed from the factory, or any options for that matter.

If you do not have a Xentry Flash account, Xentry/DAS is good for performing diagnostics only (unless you are a very experienced user that can read German and have an illegally hacked version of Xentry from China.)

Current status says this (picture below) and I do not know how to proceed. View attachment 2644807
Kudos to you for being brave enough to try. It looks like your diagnostic is quite robust. Can be very useful... As much as I would like to try and use a tool like this I don’t think I would unless I had someone that could walk me through everything. It’s also expensive... I have limits.

now I just got my car back and something else happened.

i drove it home from dealer everything worked great. I get ready to head to work this morning and go outside to start car annnnndddddd nothing. All the lights work in the car everything works as it should but when I push to start nothing not even a click like the battery is dead. So I take off the push to start and insert key. Same response no turn over no click that battery is dead just nothing. But everything else woris like it should anybody got an idea?

They said I fried my CGW but I have a hard time believing that I should of asked for old parts but whetever they fixed it. Now it’s puzzling though nothing was wrong with the car on the way home how does it all of the sudden not turn over or even click like it’s a dead battery
