The day w210 wins a beauty contest is the day it goes up against Pontiac Aztek...lol.

I do agree that a good paint makes a world of difference in how the car looks. My 97 e320 looks like absolute crap despite running perfect, and yet the 98 e300 that's standing next to it looks like it rolled off the show room.

 

Lol no offense but the pre facelift W210 E320 with those stock wheels don't look as good anymore. They look dated, but check mine out on my profile page, Facelift, Sport package, shiny paint and blue tints make a lot of difference(that they don't even look like the same model) and make it look like a 21st century car lol thanks for your input

 

Any W210 model with nice shiny paint would look nice especially if it has nice rims that matches the car. My silver 2001 base when it's washed catches eyes but not to the Same point of my signal red W201.

 

If Deplore kept the rims, he is on E420 "kind of" monoblocks.
For a month I was driving father's 28 years old W124.
Nobody gave it more than 10 years, despite dings and some spray can touch ups.

 

Yeah, I kept the rims. I like it a lot more than the stock rim on E320.

 

W210? Does it look like a newer car? No. It's very "turn of the century"... Is it a good looking car? Yes, in my opinion, classic. Better looking than the W211 by far. I kind of like the W212 but I think the facelift W212 is hideous!

To me, the best looking iteration of the W210 is the E55. The Sport has the E55 body but the wheels are smaller and not as nice as the staggered monoblocks, IMO.

Best color... Black followed closely by Silver.

Tinted windows detract from the looks of the car to my mind...

Yeah you are right about E55 wheels, but when I show friends a pic of the W210 E55 and tell them I like the monoblocks, he said my sport wheels look better and the E55 monoblocks look weird... but to me, I do like the monoblocks too. On the color, I agree with black. But my dream color on a W210 is the one and only tectite grey!

Since we already started talking about W210, I will be honest and say that I see a lot of neglected W210s on the road, prefacelift E320s they look super old and ugly lol. But I do see nice ones, but rarely an E430 Sport like mine.

To me a nice looking W210 which still look real good today is one of the following...

1. E320 pre/post facelift which is super shiny and taken care of.
2. E420 really shiny paint/Sport package/Black.
3. E430 post facelift with/without Sport package/black.

Anything else that don't fall in these categories, idk about you but it won't turn my head lol

I love the W210, especially in classic MB silver paint. Looks good parked next to most anything I see. It only looks and feels old when I go to the dealer to get a new wiper blade and have been kicking the tires on the 2015 E63 AMG-S. Here's mine.....

 

Gotta love a V-8 Mercedes! 420 on left, 430 on right. Timeless looks.

LOL I am the assistant, and Mrs Yacht Master thinks I spend too much time in the shop, working on cars and that I fish way too much.:grin

 

old neglected w210s with hazy headlights and dull paint make mine look like a much newer model

 

I rememeber when the W124 came out - the looks were considered radical but in time a half dozen automakers copied it (look at an a=Acura back end, for one).

Same with the W210 - that front end - much better looking to be than the back - was widely copied.

 

He's asking $15k and didn't even clean it or take "professional" pictures for the ad?
