mbvis, i like your diptube. to measure the level do you just hold your thumb at the opening of the tubing right before getting the tubing out? great idea.

who knew, plutoe is a sausage aficionado

I use a little more than 4 feet of polyurethane tube for better leverage.
Thread the diptube all the way in first with open end. You feel that the other end reaches the bottom, at the same time, the red duct tape marking will be right at the top of the filler tube to emphasize the bottom of the pan is reached.
Then I actually bend/fold the tube plus use my thumb to seal the air inside the tube then gently pull the diptube out.
Car must be running on level in Park to measure, practice at cool engine first.
...
The picture shows where the diptube/dipstick will come out at the bottom (with the pan dropped).

In regard to Pluto, it's a distant star, to look at it, we'll see other blinking dots in the dark sky. That's how I see his posts. It's entertainment.

In all honesty after being nailed by the "Chevy Guy" I did try to go back and post edit the P word to another more milder P word, like in mild sausage, but the "boss" beat me to the punch. I will have to be much MORE careful with future geographic designations. That's for sure!!

In any event we all have to be good at something, I just love grilled mild P sausage, what can I say, it's sorta like sniffing a home made tyranny dip stick or tube-----WOW

Actually, it's not a star. It used to be a planet, but it's not even that any more. It's now just a meaningless piece of dirt floating in the solar system.

Hmm, some interesting parallels there.;)
