I have found my exhaust leak, it is located were the manifold and pipe bolt together. The dealer tells me there is no gasket there. Does anyone know how to get it seal up better or a gasket that will fit and keep it from leaking.
I got under the car finally and see the flange in question I really don't see how I could you any type of gasket the flanges are about 1/8 inch apart. I didn't take it loose but it looks like a ball flange seat. my rear gaskets just before the resonator look like crap I think I am going to cut all that out and put straight pipes in its place to see what happens.
Check for cracks first of all, then if none undo the two bolts. Unless they are loose then there's your problem!
Clean the ball and socket with a wire brush and put it back together, tighten the bolts evenly a bit at a time making sure it sits straight.
DO NOT use any sealing paste, it can break off and damage the cats.
