I had the same experience and I'm going to buy an used car (from the local MB dealer) instead of the new model.

The new model has two good things, thought, the new interiors and the option for the 220CDI, which is good for people who make a lot of Km per week, especially if you come from Europe.

I definitely agree with you guys. The W208 just seems so much more of a smoother car in terms of body lines and build. I like my W208 you feel more secure than the W209. I drove the W209 and it didn't feel as tight or as comfortable the W208. I'm definitely going to keep mine until that SL55 becomes available !
