is it possible for me to switch out the steering wheel of a 2000 clk 430 with the steering wheel of any w208 clk 55? the main thing i want to know is if it can be done, what will i need to do to make sure the shift buttons on the steering wheel work? or are they not compatible with the clk 430 transmission?

It is a direct fit. I have a silver and black CLK 55 steering wheel in my 2000 CLK430 and had a black one prior to that. There are no shift buttons ON the steering wheel, just buttons for Audio/COMAND/telephone, etc. Bottom line: there are no issues with buttons or anything else. Good luck.

W209 steering wheels are not interchangeable with W208 steering wheels...

big ty!

Performance Products has steering wheels for a W208. You'll have to swap your airbag.
big thanks master marcus, do we have DIY to replace the steering wheel though? much better to do it myself to save money
