Hi Guys,

I'm having a problem with one of my tail lights (RH) on my C220 W204 - all the lights flicker intermittently and the connector to the light cluster has one wire that is getting hot. I'm assuming this is the earth for the light cluster, and it has been so hot the plastic connector has melted.

Does anyone know the part number for the connector / metal individual connectors so I can replace the faulty connector and swap the plastic block for a new one? Does anyone know how to release each of the wires/individual connectors from the plastic connector block?

Many thanks in advance,
Pete.

There are thousands of W204s in the UK. I also read at the UK forums and have not seen this as a common problem. Do you really think t needs to be reported to a government agency before doing some basic diagnosis on a car that could be up to 8 years old?

I would bet an auto electrician specialist could fix this problem in less than an hour.
