Hi,
I have an C200 Kompressor. It has 16 inch wheels. I know 17 inch wheels will fit. Will genuine 18 inch Mercedes wheels, like for example from an Email Class or CLS fit straight on? What are the disadvantages, if any, of the bigger wheels on my W203?

In general, you can go +1 or +2 on wheels without any problems as long as you :
1 - Adjust tire size to keep the same OD of the original tire
2 - Use same rim width
3 - Use same offset

As for disadvantages, rule 1 will give you a tire with a low sidewall, so you get a harsher ride, and with a low sidewall a good pothole can cause rim/tire damage easier than with the stock setup.
You will also pay more for larger tires.
