Hello,

Having intermittent problems with unresponsive gas pedal after traffic stops and even on highway.
Engine runs at idle. Managed to bring the car to safe area on its idling speed. Idle speed is very good/smooth, both forward and reverse.
I switched off engine, pulled out key-fob and restart. Repeat few times and problem disappears.
I don't have the opportunity to check the fault codes yet. The car has done 280k km.

Please advise.
Thanks.

You definitely need to check codes. If the accelerator is totally unresponsive, it may be that it is bad.

Just had that issue on my 2004 C320 V6 , mine was the mass air flow not locked into position where the Air Cleaner Housing Seals against causing loss of air flow into mass air sensor. If tabs are broken and unable to latch you may have to use ty-wraps to secure.
