I have a s500 w140 with a m119 motor which I have to crank twice for it to start.I have changed the fuel filter fuel pump.did diagnosis came up with an error code 018 crankshaft position sensor L5 magnets not recognised. i also suspect the fuel pressure regulator but i dont know how to test it. the car has one fuel pump. also what is the pressure of the fuel at the fuel rail schrader valve?. any input is sorely needed.

Change the crankshaft position sensor and your troubles should be over. When this code appears on a 119 it is usually accurate. As for the fuel regulator, pull the vacuum pipe off and see if any fuel is there, if there is it is finished.
