W140 99 s500 third brake light conversion

my 99 s500 third brake light is good for an upgrade. My question is will a 99 c230 LED third brake light work in a 99 s500? My model has the wire that connects straight to the back of the third brake light. No electrical connector. Your advice are greatly appreciated.

Yes it will. Connectors are different for the LED version but it will fit. It will Light up your bulb check so plan on installing some type of resistor if that bothers you
