Probably been asked a million times but do you think i can find the engine number on my 82 380 sedan???? Where the heck is it stamped???

At the rear of the engine, lean over to the middle, right by the firewall and look down with a torch - it may be covered in gunk.

It is stamped on a flat surface at the base of the rocker cover.
