Do you have a dedicated amp for the door speakers or are you using the same circuit for the door and dash speakers? 8 channel setup? Head unit/amp combo?

I have 3 amps one mono for the 500w rms dual 12 inch sub low pass filter 80hz
One pushing 50w rms to 4 channels for the front and rear dash speakers with high pass at 200hz
One 2 channel for the door speakers 150w rms per channel crossover low pass filter 200hz

Honestly it’s such a small enclosure for that speaker with you saying it’s 100rms. Maybe remove the stuff you applied to vents to go back to using door as part of the enclosure. After that, add a port and tune/trim port length until you get desired result. Think you can still find them at a local car stereo dealer or fab your own.
You think if I leave it sealed on the back and add a port on the front they might sound better? I ordered these: 2 Penn Elcom M1530 Port Tubes Sub Woofer Tuner Speaker PA Cabinet Vent | eBay
