Is it a bad idea to recover the areas marked with red X in white fabric similar to the roof uphostery and change the door panel uphostery to white too? The seats aree currently all cloth and the side panels are leather with cloth in the middle. Would an all leather white(like roof) seat recover be better?

If I see right, the exterior of the car is a light blue.
Then an off white or light cream color would look good. The seats seem pretty worn, so it would be a big improvement. Also replace the side panel's cloth with the same color/material. IMHO.

yes it's light blue

but would only changing the side parts of the seats be enough on the 2 f seats and on the rear seat, or an overall seat recover? thanks Because yesterday I saw a photo of a w124 that had the seat side black and the iner fabric light grey.

Blue cloth like this seems to fit better because it is similar to the other interior colour and definetly easier to obtain. thanks for your opinions and appreciate further help

I too prefer leather over cloth but that's how I bought it

Still not 100% sure what to do, will see the cost and if for a full recover there's no big difference will go for a full vinly or leather , much better to clean, nicer and lasts longer....

Two of our Mercedes are MB Tex Vinyl and the other two are Leather. The 18 yo with MB Tex looks showroom new, the CLK Convertible with leather looks terrible.

MB Tex is indestructible. I saw someone wrote once that the should have made tires out of this stuff, I have to agree.
