Hi,
The latch that pops out through the grill to open the hood snapped in half (picture attached) How do I open the hood now? The cable and latch inside the cabin are fine. How to I get to the lever to complete the opening?

Grab a pair of long needle nose pliers, then pull on the remains.

Replacement handle is MB P/N#1248800220. Less than $15.

Be sure to catch the holding bushings when you remove the remnant piece during removal.

^^^ Or, bend a coat hanger so there's a hook on it, reach in the grill and pull the lever forward.

I used a wrench that fit on the nut in there, just pulled it open.

You live a long ways away, otherwise you could have my extra, but considering how cheap they are...
