Hi everyone.

Anyone have information about that key in diesel series of w123 and how does it control idle speed?
It's like choke valve in carburetor?

That's a new one to me??? The idle adjustment on the W123 300 series diesels is under the hood behind the ALDA. There is nothing in the interior to adjust the idle. There is no choke... just glow plugs and high compression.

It is cable that pulls on linkage on valve cover. Counterclockwise is faster. Cable has adjustment at engine end.

It's only on the NA diesels.

Works best when you have the accelerator at the idle speed you want as there is no pressure on the cable. Many have fallen into disrepair and need adjustment

This is good info for me. Mine quit adjusting the idle 20 years ago!

it just pull on the accelerator under hood , counter clockwise to accelerate , and other way to slow down .the proper way to use it , with cold engine , step on accelerator , turn knob counter clock to set .
