Picked up this '79 280SEL a week ago!

193,002kms, Light ivory with brown(?) interior, auto, can't see any modifications.

So far I've adjusted the valves, replaced injector seals & the valve cover gasket.

Waiting on a few parts so i can swap out the old fuse hoses and fuel accumulator.

I caught the muni streetcar in the background. But I kept the picture because I did the same with my w123 230ce.

I miss that w123. The California Smog Grinches took it away. But my mechanic is working on a fix.

My 1980 300SD

Hey, All-

The ever-expanding fleet of 'benzes has grown yet again. Just now I purchased a stunning 1980 documented in the following images provided by the previous owner.
I have always loved the style of this model, especially in Astral Silver. Today, it graces my driveway alongside my '01 W208 Cab. & '89 300SE. Truly, fortune has smiled upon me this day!
I will begin pestering the W116 brain-trust for help in the near future...
