Hey 116'ers,
Sold my 280 many years ago, but found this lock repair kit while listing some of my 124 stuff on ebay.
Figured if anyone could use this they'd be here.

It replaces the "paddle" that joins the lock tumbler on the door to the actual lock mechanism. My brother tried to slim jim the car when he borrowed it and locked the keys inside. Ended up breaking the piece, so you had to lock/unlock the car from passenger side.

Update: Car is sold.


After 25 years, it's time to let our W116 go.

Had a low-speed hit to the left front that totaled it. Ticked me off. I've replaced the front bumper and headlight so our son could use it but he's not interested in getting a license. What is it with the youth these days? Anyway, I'm running out of energy. Too many cars.

The state will give me $1,000 for it but it's too nice to crush. Anyone want to make an offer? We've owned it for 25 years and I've done all the work. Runs great. A/C blows cold, etc.

If there's any interest, I'll make the effort to take pics. Can you tell I'm just done? White, worn out paint, blue interior except for light brown back seat in PERFECT condition. Euro bumpers. Buy it for that alone.

Located in San Francisco Bay Area. I'll deliver it for the cost of gas/lodging and some extra cash.

California car since new in 1973.

Only ~160,000 miles on the odometer.

Car will start & run, has good brakes. Will need battery. Motor is noisy, needs TLC overall.

Only ~900 of these were imported to the US. Quite rare...

f/s complete 4.5 l v8 from a 1976 450sel

includes everything including starter alternator smog pump, ac compressor radiator condenser , transmission and some of the wire harness. car had 110k miles. engine and trans work good. i have a video of it running and transmission working. transmission is a 3 speed automatic.
will need all rubber hoses replaced ad rubber mounts. has fresh oil and coolant was new.

i have the complete drive train from a 1975 w116. its a 450 . 110k miles ran good shift good. does have a starting issue, but it will start once fuel in poured in intake. this is for engine transmission driveshaft differential radiator an a crate of other misc parts. perfect for spares or if you have a blown engine. located in goldsboro nc
