What could cause my w116 300sd to wobble when depressing the accelerator? The wobble seems to worsen while the steering wheel is turned to the right and at the same time accelerating at low or high speeds. The wobble disappears when you remove your foot from the accelerator.

I previously had the front of the car on two jack stands that were positioned directly under the cross member yoke.

After inspecting the car, I discovered that the left rear wheel bearing is shot, the cross member yoke bushings need to be replaced and the right axle is leaking.

I will be replacing the wheel bearings, axles and cross member bushings in the next few weeks and hope to resolve the issue.

Not sure what might be causing the wobble.

Any advice is appreciated

Also replace your steering damper. It is very cheap and easy to replace. Makes a big difference to steering feel.

This wobble drift is a first for me. It only happens when accelerating.

I will have to first replace the bad rear wheel bearing then move to the cross yoke bushings.
The wobble is not safe.

Will then take a look at all other suspension components including the steering damper.

Thanks for the advice
