W114 Stray connector behind console

Chasing down some electrical issues behind my 74 280 console. Anybody have any idea what the wire on the bottom supposed to go to? Can't find a place for it. It has an aftermarket stereo so i'm hoping it was some leftover piece from the OEM radio. But can't find it in the manuals.
