Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone knew what the factory luggage looked like, or what was inc. in the factory luggage option for a 1971 250C??

The orig. owner of my 250C claimed to have bought the luggage with the car ( delivered in Germany ) and he had three Daughters, each Daughter took a piece of luggage with them when they went off to college.

My main question , is was it a "fitted" set for that specific trunk (boot) or was it just a 3 pc. set of standard Mercedes luggage???

FYI - I am the 3rd owner so tracking down the 3 Daughters may be a little hard...LOL

I only know that prior series Benzes had fitted luggage available through Mercedes. They were made to fit the particular trunks dimensions. Maybe the Classic Center can answer your question with more accuracy. It's worth a try.

Thanks, thats the next step.

So far I love the car - no issues at all. Just the usual oil change and inspect everything. I have a list of maintenance stuff that needs to be done ( plugs, wires, belts, hoses, etc.. ) but I just took it on a 100+ mile run with no problems at all.
