Hello,

I need to find a replacement for the passenger side window motor on my 1985 280SL and wanted to know if the W116 or W123/W126 motors are the same.

Part number is most likely 001 820 78 42. I say this because the EPC does not show a number for the 280SL but the 380SL of the same year shows that number. I ran the number and it does show being used on some 116, 123 and 126 models. Trouble is the EPC does not show model years.
