What is the average time for the car to
go from vpc to the dealer ? My car came in
on a ship to Baltimore on 2/17 and as far as I know it's still their, dealer faxed me the nexstar sheet
with all the goodies listed but no shipping date ???
Is the car actually prepped at the vpc or at the dealer ??? Hope to be cruisin soon !
Thanks, vinnyz

vinnyz,

The car is inspected at the VPC and if any problems are found they are corrected before being trucked to the dealer. This can take as little as a week or as long as ?? When my car arrived in November, SLK's were being held at the VPC for a part replacement. That took an extra 10 days. I never did find out exactly what the problem was. If there are no problems with your car, you should hopefully receive it in the next week or two. Sorry for not being more specific.

Back in November MB had started experiencing troubles with the contracted car carrier near the end of the contract . Mine sat for almost three weeks after arrival, not waiting for parts. Stay in touch with your dealer, and gently nudge them if it seems like your car is sitting too long. I offered to pick it up at the port and it arrived at the dealer three days later.
