Has anyone fiited a Fiamma Awning to a new shape Vito (Compact)? Whats involved? Do they fit directly to the body or do they hang off the roof bars? Thanks....

Hi ya, from what it says on a few sites and from experience you can do either, i am going to be getting one and intend getting a fitting kit so it mounts in the roof rails so i can take it off when not needed. My mate has one on his Transit and that is fitted to an old roof rack which he just takes off when not needed. At the end of the day its up to you how you mount it from what i understand of them

Hi Martin, I was hoping that would be the case. I didn't fancy drilling holes in a brand new van, and like you say I could take it off in the winter.
