Want to buy a Vito 111 CDI (2008) Short Wheel Base (Compact), but confused about the different rear seats benches offered.:surrender:

Going through the ads, I found

-Rear Seat Bench Standard
-Rear Seat Bench Comfort
-Rear Seat Bench Luxury

What I want, is a bench that folds forward, so that it comes in line with a
double floor I want to put in. Want to put a mattress on top, to have a simple bed and storage below.

Here the main question:
Is it possible to fold the back of the bench forward with all benches offered ?
(Don't care if only the entire bench folds or if the seats fold separatly)

I attched a few pics from some used car ads I found.

Could anyone help if these would fold forward ?
Has anyone done similar and could post a pic ?

All three pics show a standard rear seat, which does not fold (I had one of these put in my bus-very strong and safe but quite firm foam under upholstery.) I have no info on the comfort and luxury seats. Usually one that can fold probably wouldn't have integral inertia seat belts-MB may not do the old-style bench anymore. Aftermarket may be the way to go, or source an old style 638 bench secondhand. Good luck:)

update

Thanks, James.

Went to a dealer today and he confirmed as well that the
Standard Seat don't fold.

He was so friendly to show me the comfort seat in a brand new one.
They fold. Have a pic attached for anyone interested.

The other suggestion he made that I could turn the Standard bench the other way around, which he said would be possible. Just think that that I don't have 2m left in the short wheel base to build a double floor and sleep in it...

Guess, I hunt for one with the comfort seat. Let you know how I go and when I join the owner club...

The comfort seat looks to be brilliantly designed, to retain strength and built-in inertia belts, as well as fold. Did dealer advise of price of this seat? I'm just curious- I reckon it would be up there...

and you will probably need a forklift to get it in and out of the van too
