As I was driving last night the visit workshop red light warning came on . It also showed the picture of a battery.
I only had 4 miles to get home so I kept going. The steering was more difficult also. And about a mile from home
the temp guage almost hit the top and was overheating pretty good.

could this be all related to a weak battery ? or more than that ?

Yes you were right , shredded belt (s) was the problem. Are there 2 or 3 belts on the E500 engine ?

There is only one belt. Inspect all pulleys. Number 4 and 7 are most common to fail.

Unless you know that #4 has less then 10k replace it as well.

Do you happen to know how to order #4 and #7 pulley's ? ie: amazon ?

You can run to an Oreilly and grab them along with a new belt.
Call them first to have them transfer it from their hub store if
they do not have it in stock. They will have the Gates stuff
which I have had good luck with over the years.
