Just a data point:WANTED: 1984 Mercedes-Benz Window Sticker
I'm looking for an original window sticker from a 1984 Mercedes-Benz, preferably a 300SD like mine. I'd like to recreate a window sticker for my car using an existing one that I can scan. And before you say it—no, unfortunately MBUSA and the Classic Center no longer provide Monroney Stickers.
Thanks for the clarification and the idea. I have searched Google for a scan of one, but all I was able to find was this low-resolution one on a dead blog from 2006 (when blogs were all the rage!). It should be noted that the bottom of this window sticker is cropped anyway.Just a data point:
The Classic Center never provided Monroney stickers. MBUSA did, at one time in the distant past, offer copies of the originals, but that hasn't occurred since the 1990s, if that.
You're going to have to find someone that has an original to scan. Just out of curiosity, have you done a Google search to see if anyone has posted one online you could use?
That's a cool idea too, but unfortunately the Wayback Machine usually doesn't go much more in-depth than home pages and main links, and I assume this is even more true for forums. I also don't have too much hope in finding any high-resolution scans from the dialup and early DSL era.Another possibilty might be to do a Wayback Machine search on popular websites or forums of earlier times. It's certainly a long shot, but you might come up with something that way.
Yes, that makes zero sense to me. On other window stickers from 1984, the 500SEC is also listed as "compact", while the 500SEL is listed as "mid-size". If the 500SEL was mid-size, what in the world was full-size?Interesting that the EPA consider the SD to be a "compact" car.
