Bought a nice 1993 500SL with 54000 miles. It has a road vibration in it. Changed the tires, checked the rims and not any better.where do I look now?
You can feel it at low speeds and gets worse with speed. At 70 it shakes the car, not bad but enough to hack you off.

Have your tires guys check for a FLAT SPOT in any one or more of the tires. Especially if the car has sat in one spot for any prolonged period of time. It usually exhibits itself in the seat of your pants if it's coming from a rear tire. Been there, done that.

If you can try another set of tires on your car that would help answer your question.

If you rule out tires and wheels, the next thing is rotating assemblies such as driveline flex discs and rear axle joints.

What size & grade tires (as in 245x45ZR16 or 17) did you put on the car
