hey guys, I've lately noticed when driving my '84 300D that when I have my right blinker on and press the brake it stops the blinker from working, (though there is a faint glow on the instrument cluster)- the blinker stops and the brake light doesn't glow on that side either even though there is a new bulb there, tried changing it too. When the brake is released the blinker continues on both ends.

Anyone else have this issue?

I'm gravitating toward faulty wiring or maybe it could be related to the neutral safety switch being crosswired somehow?

Also, just remembered that the relay for the hazard lights is missing in this car, could that be the culprit?

Check the fuse box lid if the two are linked together. If they are, search a common ground for wiring issues.

If the problem just occured, meaning the turn signals worked well with the brake lights, despite not having the hazard switch relay, then it's likely not the culprit.

Check and clean the earth connections near to the rear lights - if they are wet...
