Does anyone know where I could get a rebuilt or used blower motor for a decent price? My motor either makes a horrendous squeaking sound or may labor to start at all. I tried to spray it with lubricant which only relieves the symptom temporarily.

Normharp,

I had the same problem in my 380SL about a year ago. What I did was to blow the dust from the fins and lubricate the motor. Since then, I have not had any trouble.

Or you can by a new one.

Blower motor

If you can't quiet the motor you have now, we have new Bosch motors without the case and fans for $159. Not exactly a giveaway, but a whole lot cheaper than buying the whole unit.

Blower Motor

Ron,

Thanks for update. The price is reasonable. I will let you know if lubrication and cleaning fails to resolve this issue.
