Been experiencing the symtoms of Vapour Lock recently and wondering if anyone can confirm and perhaps diagnose:

Lack of engine speed (particulary around 4000rpm), (eventually gets worse)
Stutter (when stopped or at 4000rpm)
Stall (engine eventually stalls if i do not restart the engine after long periods)
Feeling of no fuel flow. RPM's do not "flutter" but stay constant while the vehicle bucks back and forth even on the hwy

Recent Major Service:

Fuel Filter (1 month ago)
Camshaft Sensors (2 weeks ago)
1 Ignition Coil (6 months ago)

If i begin to experience these symptoms I pull over, shut off engine, and remove gas cap for about 5 seconds. this eliminates the symptoms for about 5-20km then they return.

Does anyone know if this is Vapour Lock and if it is how do I begin to Fix it?

Vehicle is a 03' C230K with 146xxxKm

Any Suggestions are appreciated!!!!

vapor lock is pretty rare on modern engines. I'd suspect something else. maybe gas cap not venting properly or fuel pump. but those are just guesses.
