Your personal profile doesn't say which Country / State you are located in.
Here, for the side glass you could go to a the self service wrecking yard.
Removal and installation is a not too difficult DIY.
A new Windshield you can be found for between 160 and 200$ US installed.

Have you tried a forum search? The archive has a wealth of information.

Please click 'User CP' on the top tool bar, and complete your profile with a location and model of your car.
It makes it easier for members to offer advice. MB produced different, and region / Country specific versions of our cars.

Welcome, to take advantage of all the forum features, please re visit the 'Welcome to the Forum' tutorial sticky on top of the W126 page, as well as the two DIY stickies.
It will show how to search the forum (3 words min.), and has a link to the Russian MB site where you can run a VIN#.
Cheers

That sucks, big time, you can only hope they hurt themselves in the process.

What Teutone said.

Be really thankful it was not the rear windscreen - go and buy a lottery ticket...

I need to replace the windshield on my SEC and I have estimates from $285.00 USD to $350.00 USD, the latter is Pilkington glass(new MB glass co. of choice) as I cannot find Sekurit glass anywhere. So much so that I'm thinking about getting a used Sekurit Windshield from a bone yard. My 380SE's windshield is sandblasted by the dirt and sand for 5-7 years here in the Upper Mojave Desert, but until I cannot see a thing thru it, I will not replace it. W126 Sekurit windshields are few and far between now.

Driver side glass can be found on Ebay under Mercedes Benz W126 search. I think there a couple on there right now.

Maybe we have lots of stones over here, IDK, but I do consider windscreens somewhat of a disposable part.

You need a good clear screen to drive with, they are cheap to replace (in the grand scheme of things) and a sandblasted screen is horrible...

I'll clarify. Windshield isn't that bad, but I can see that it'll get worse. I have no trouble in either light or dark. no halos, no other malfunctions. In direct bright sunlight(setting sun) then you can see the pitting, but not to the point of not being able to see through it or dangerous. When it gets that bad it's a gonner. One reason I'd like to keep it as long as I can is that it still has most of the Spanish National Road(tax?? Insurance??, etc.) Sticker on it from being exported from CA to Spain for 3 years (Late '92-'96) and imported back here.
