Hello, I am planning to do my first valve adjustment. I bought the new gasket from Autohauz already. The guide I plan on using is over at DieselGiant. I understand that special wrenches are available. Are these wrenches a necessity for doing the job? Can I just use regular wrenches? Do I need 2 or 3 for the adjustment? Thanks

You can do it with two 14mm wrenches, it helps if one is thinner then the other, it'll just take a bit longer with them then with the specialty wrenches, I'm actually pretty used to using two regular 14mm wrenches now, put the car up on ramps or jack it up over night, your back will thank you.....

I took a pice of thin metal 1/2 wide 8" long bent it to clear everything used it as a template to bend some of my own wrenches. then I ground it down a bit on the end then thinned the end down some. AND AS TORQ SAID PUT HER ON RAMPS!!! Take your time doin it then doublecheck your work.:)
