HELP!!!

I have searched the forums tirelessly for a detailed thread explaining hardwiring options for an SL500, but have found nothing. How can a V1 be hardwired in an SL??? Is there a way to tap any wire in the overhead console, and if so, how should I go about doing it? If not, is there a tappable wire in the clock/parktronic cluster?

Thanks

Very easy to hardwire the V1 into the R230. I tapped into the homelink transmitter power in the rear-view mirror. Pop off the mirror housing, you'll see 2 wires into the homelink module, just tap into those! Routed the power wire out the top of the housing, about 3" to my V1 in the upper middle window.

This is a switched circuit, so the V1 only powers up when the key is in (well, there is some retained power to this circuit, but it goes out in a minute or two after key-off).
