So I have no vacuum retention on the valves on top of the cam cover, (shifting pretty hard, as well) and I'm going to order new ones, but all I can find is a valve that looks like a single valve, heres a pic:

So, should I order two of them?
I have an 84 300d and it looks like there are two stacked conversly on top of each other

and to reiterate an earlier question, all of my vacuum components should retain vacuum, yes? (the vacuum control valve on the ip holds vac on top, but drops, and nothing on the bottom) shut off good, locks; don't ask, white cam cover valves; nothin.

also, heater core is leaking, gonna try the bars leaks core only circulation and flush, and other wise disconnect it. Any suggestions on getting rid of the dank odor? I'm thinking about pulling all the carpet, cleaning with a carpet cleaner and sun drying top and bottom.

thanks for any help,
Nick

You might see your shifts soften back up, since the vacuum that was lost at the valves will be going back to the transmission again.
