Ok, I have decided to give my vacuum system the once over with hose, valves, and dashpots. I have seen that DieselGiant offers a kit with a 5-way and I can't find one of these in my system. I called them and he assured me that a 1985 300dt absolutly has a 5-way and if not someone has jacked with it. I am the 2nd owner and the original owner has maticulous records and only had it serviced at the dealer. So I am pretty sure no one has jacked with it. Can anyone tell me if this is true, is there a 5-way? Do I need to combine some connections or something. If anyone can provide pictures of this system that would be great. I was told that many changes were made to the "85 models. MercedesSource also offers a kit without a 5-way so I am really confused. I have a hard time with the diagrams so if you have several pictures that would be preferred. Thanks.

My coupe has a five way, sedans and wagons do not. The extra connection goes to the front seat back lock(s). Which usually don't work.
Not sure of '85's.

Thanks ::matthew, you would think a Cali to have more gizmos, am I not seeing everything? I can't find a five way. However on a coupe, there may be one. Most folks use a series, like just above part #72.
