OK so i need serious help as i am alone about this problem. Yesterday i drove to the store when i noticed it Did not switch gears (later testa show that i does shift gear hard And at wierd times) AND the engine is not Shut off with the ignition turned off with the key. Okey, so i already here dont know what to do without MityVac etc. This morning i went out checking vacum lines again i decided to lay down underneath with the ignition switch and Check the vacuum cables there. One of them was not fully on but IT was tight on, i pressed the old cable in and now this other problem came: A small piece of electrical cable just landed on my chest while laying there And it has two cable shoes on it. Now, my key Can be turned on all the way but no crank, no sound And no nothing. So have i accidentaly touched the wiring for the starter or the ignition? There is so many cables everywhere, its a mess so i really dont know where And What. Car is stranded so i need somewhat help from someone here!

Sounds like somebody has been in there before you, altering things trying to fix a problem. We need a picture to see what they have done.

Bigsky: never heard of this switch? what does that do and do you want me to check that the vac lines is on the gearbox? It is a wierd situation, since it all happened all of the sudden.

Looks like somebody installed an alarm system, those black plugs and wire butt connectors are not Mercedes. It may have an anti-theft starter interlock. Follow those black plugs to whatever box they lead to and see if you can find a brand name and model number to find a wiring diagram.

To find where they spliced into, follow the violet/white-stripe wire from the keyswitch down to the 4-pin neutral safety switch connector in the area to the right of the throttle pedal, then the violet wire from that plug goes to the starter and glowplug relay.

So i found out all of a sudden alone (haha!)
there was a Defa system installed under, the cabels was a mess. So i threw the whole defa out, and then saw this violet cable being cut and was now alone without the defa cables. I tied the cable together and the engine got connection with the Starter again (I will never know what that little cable did, probably some bridge?) I completely ignored the fact that lights got vacuum and checked it out and there it was, a cable going from light to light across the radiator which was cut in half on the middle, GOD knows why. Fixed the leak and all is good now! Thanks so much for the reply guys! As I said i am alone on this car and i do certainly not know what to do all the time. This makes me want to write here on this forum when i am in need of help!
