I tried looking in the forum buyt I did not see anything related.

On a 1999 S420, per theb vehicle emission control diagram, the lines color coded TR, TR/BL/ & TR/BL are all cracked . The 2 lines go from the switching air valve & map sensor to the back of the engine (via under the the manifold) need to be replaced.
Do I get these lines form the dealer only. Are they replaced by the rubber vacuum lines? the original ones feel like plastic.
Thanks

You can replace them with generic plastic line available at auto parts stores.

Mercedes sells the line in bulk form, but the last time I tried to buy some, different colors weren't available, just generic translucent white. They do sell the molded rubber end fittings, sometimes with needed acute or right angles, depending on the application.

Thanks. I will have to get new molded rubber end fittings too. But I was also wondering if the plastic lines hold up better than the rubber lines? I saw the plastic lines under #0001589135 in autohausAZ

Cap it either at the pump, OR the front of the seat. There should only be one line at the front of each seat for the bladders.

At the connector for the line coming from the floor to the seat?
A picture would help.

These pipes are easy to find,, but do check to see if they are fuel prone i know they dont take fuel through them but they do come in to contact with fuel and oil when used on or around the engine .
