74 450SL in West Texas: There is a hose that comes out of the MAP sensor and goes down between the engine and the firewall. I’m assuming it is vacuum. In that line there is a tee that has been plugged off with a screw. Where should that line off of that tee hook up?

I believe that on all the d-jets I’ve worked on, the vacuum line from the manifold pressure sensor goes directly to the intake manifold without any T in the line. So maybe it was a test port that was added.

I do not know. Most of my d-jets are 1972-1973, and I know changes were made for 1974. I think I have only owned one 1975. If I get the opportunity to pop the hood, where it sits at my friend’s shop, I will take a look.

Ok thanks. It could have very well been added. The clamps holding it on aren’t original. Also , if you get a chance and don’t mind , there are 2 vac points on the intake, one on either side of the throttle body. One is hooked to my distributor (the rear one). Can you tell what the other one may be for?
