I've got my dash out on my '85 diesel coupe - I'm trying to fix (resplice) some wiring. I noticed that the vacuum line coming from the center vacuum relay/valve behind the climate contol panel is not connected to anything but just capped off with a short piece of rubber tubbing. THis is probably due to the poor workmanship left over by the mechanic who retrofitted me an 85 engine/tranny/wiring into the chassis. Can anyone tell me which flap-diaphram this valve is supposed to control? I was at a junk yard over the weekend and there was only one car in the yard with the dash removed but the vacuum lines were not complet. Everyone was there however the center valve ran to a four-way splitter with no vacuum line connected except for a short piece with a vacuum check valve but nothing was else was connected. Confused? Me too. Help [?]
