The central locking system works only from time to time on my 1994 W124 E320.
When it does not work I unplug the ground cable on the battery for few seconds and then it works but only for very short time.
Solution ? Anyone.

Check to see if the pump under the passenger side rear seat is functioning properly. Also check to make sure all your fuse connections in the fusebox are good. The usual upgrade is to change them all over to copper tipped fuses to eliminate the corrosion that undoubtably will form on the original style fuses.
