I just purchased my first Mercedes Benz. She's a 1984 190d with a 5 speed manual. I have those "sunken" in looking headlights. Can I upgrade to a newer look, like the 1986 190d 2.5 benz?

Thanks for the help.

you should keep the sunken in ones and paint them black...gives the car a "mean" black eye look

gives my beater a more ugly look..i like it

Rear 400E Eibech & 500E HR Frnt
190E 16v Blistein sport all round.........
Thanks I need to lower my front, I have KYB shock/struts, but the stock springs and due to the lower profile 16" tires there is more wheel gap than I like, I am trying to find out how much lower it would go with lowering springs, I was looking at H&R,

it states Lowers vehicle 1.3" in front and 1.25" in rear.

I don't want to swap them out and get tire rub again.

My other one have a set up eibech coil spring all a round....and for me i prefer eibech rather then HR
a better smooth ride with a stock schock than came with the car when i bought it
rear 225/50/16-----16 x 7 1/2
Frnt 205/50/16-----16 x 7 1/2
No rubbing issue on the fender after I rolled the fender
good with 4 adult passenger aboard.......
I have 205/50/16 all around and I have some wheel gap, mainly up front, I don't want to have to roll the fenders, and I don't want to lower it and then have rubbing issues when I go over hills, I had that issue with the old stock shocks and struts, they were worn out and had no life left so every time I went over hills the fronts rubbed badly, I replaced the shocks/struts and now no problem, ex the wheel gap.

Do you know what the stock ride hgt is? And then if I used the H&R springs I am guessing it would be 1.3" lower, right?

What i believe stock diameter tires 24'4 and you size tire is 24'1 another word is smaller than a stock height that give more gap on the lowering spring if u go with HR
W201 2.3 1984-93 Sport Spring/Touring w/o self-leveling
1.3 1.25 Sport Cup Kit 2.0 1.7

So is your choice my friend ...................
but i guest is depend on the offset of the wheel and width of the wheel
My 16V had a set up 245/40/17 rear & 215/40/17 frnt
no rolling fender no rubbing but I'm using sport cup kit with blistein sport all a round 17x8 1/2 check it out.......
I was looking at these

I prefer the red color the sport spring,I lowered my friend car last month using different set up.With using 300CE / HR spring that we find on craiglist I don't no what the spec height on the spring......but this is the set up:

Tires front : 215/40/17-----cut spring 1 1/2 turn
tires rear : 225/40/17-----cut spring 1 turn
with brand new kyb schock, I can believe the ride is awesome and handling very good on a quick corner turn
I wish I have the picture set up that i can show you maybe next time when he came around,I take picture and posted
