Has anyone upgraded there head unit on there W-140. I would like to install Alpine CDA-7863 in my benz. But from what it hear the Sclass is really complex. Rewire and additional amp or amps. All suggestion, input are welcome. I would like to do something asap. thanks

The only thing that wouldn't work would be the changer. Any shop can just swap the wires in the back to your existing amp. You would however have to wire the cd changer connection (if you're putting one).<br>

No one wants to mess w/M-Benz to complex

I have consulted several Circuit City, Best Buy, Ect., car audio installers and they don't want to mess with W-140. to much rewiring, they would have to rewire each of the twelve speakers. One to two amps ect. One installer recommended me to a pro-audio installer that his work has been in magazines. I'm not ready for that kind of investment in car audio. So i'm going to lay back.
