nice job patrick. how long did it take you to do? was the caliper paint the brush on type or spray?
it took me around 5 hours total. taking the old rotors and puting the new one. the rotors was hard to pull out. good thing my friend had a special tool. the caliper was painted brush. my friend works in a machine shop,, so he took the caliper to his work and blasted it with some kind of chemical to clean it before painting. (same as the rotors) u can buy the paint in performance.com we were going to paint the head rotors but ended up not painting them.

This might be dumb, but do you have to repack the bearings after taking off the rotors? Don't know if this is what happens but someone told me this recently.........
Nope!!i did not have to repack the bearings after taking off the rotors....

But don't get me wrong, is the rotor supposed to be the other way around, look at the hole its all pointing forward.
and that's the reason I asked few posts above if the brembos have those cooling vanes/vented like the ML55 but gotten no reply. If no one knows what cooling vanes are, they are those slots sandwich in between the front and back rotor surface. It allows heat to extract out of the rotor more efficiently.

Here's an example of the vanes. It's those square slots and they need to be pointing clockwise.

the Front has the Vanes but the back does'nt have any. sorry, but i still dont get what u mean about they need to be pointing Clockwise

the pictures on top is:
1st pictture is Right Rear
2nd picture is Right front
3rd picture is Left Rear
4th the Car

Well - it won't let me send a picture today. I'll try later.

But has anyone noticed that the vanes in the rotor are the same left and right? They are drilled differently, but the vanes inside run only one way, like they only cast one version of the rotor and use it on both sides (perhaps I got ripped off?). It looks to me like the right rotor ends up running backwards.
well, i just took off one of my tires and found out that this type of rotors are not exactly thesame as the original and expensive ones. my rotors vanes are just straight no curves....there was an instructions on which once were right or left though....[:D]
