Breezed up at 70mph all the way and a bit icy on the last road to the pass.
No issues with the winter tires on the old W210 wagon.:thumbsup:

You know Greg, some go to ski resorts for the snow, some seat in the restaurants, drink beer and check the emails.
My ski buddy doesn't even stop for lunch. He eats the sandwich on the lift-chair.
I still like to go to the car for a beer.

Our boards

have the built in turn special tool tabs to change angles.
Took a break for some biscuits and gravy so I could warm up.
In the midddle of a run my 14yo son asks can we go down to Oregon and go sandboarding next weekend. Sandboarding what will they think of next?

I don't have a 4-matic but with the traction control permanently switched off there's always lots of sideways action

What make and model of winter tires do you have on your wagon?

I plan to snowboard, and to get some winter soaring(glider flying) next month.

I'm sure ego drives posting sometimes, but there are an awful lot of *very helpful* people here who seem to post for that reason alone -- to help others.

I don't think "ego" is right word here. Not at least in this section.
It is more "personality" for me.
It is like going to a Pub. Some people seat in the center and make everybody listen to them and laugh from the jokes -the others will seat next to the bathroom door and complain about too much noise, too much traffic and too much wind.
Besides learning good stuff not only about the cars -I found that place fun and relaxing.

It does sound like a joke, but it is a fact that about 2 months each season we have good snow in Sierras and nice warm days on Delta.
The distance from ski resort to Sacramento Marina takes less than 90 minutes to drive.
I don't surfboard, but in couple of months can stop with skis at the Marina
