I bought this interior from Ebay and fitted it, but i dont think its original Mercedes as i havent seen another like it. It doesnt have the perforations but i'm fairly pleased with it apart from that.
But what do you all think, is it likely to have been a re-trim at some point? It was taken from another 420SE.
The doorcards are matching, and i notice things like the kickplates on the door insides are also leather over the usual plastic, and the backs of the seats are leather too. So its a good job if a re-trim, but somehow it doesnt quite seem to have the class of the leather seats i've seen in other W126s and its a different kind of pattern.

Very nice. :thumbsup:

I don't recognize it, but it could a Duchatelet or some other tuner interior.

The contrasting piping is a nice touch.

Is that an AMG console box? I'm actually serious.

And yes, that is a darn good looking interior.

Thanks. Yeah i love the piping, but kind of wish it had the peforated sections like the Mercedes seats do.
The console box is recent, from German Ebay made by some guy who sells them on there. Its very nice quality and was quite cheap, but the lid is only openable when the passenger seat is quite far back as it hinges from one side. Lovely wood though.

Whats one of those. Is it W126?
As Ross already pointed out:

Infiniti = Nissan
Acura = Honda
Lexus = Toyota

The Japanese caught on to the US practice of re-badging, adding leather seats and increasing prices. :D

Ford = Mercury, Lincoln
Cadillac = Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Buick, Pontiac
Chrysler = Plymouth, Dodge

I belive it is a retrim of a velour interior, Ian- as it has the same pattern to the pleats. The velour has corduroy on the side pleats and velour in the middle- or it looks to be that way in my 1986 Brochure!
