So the guy came back and eventually found a crack in the arm connecting the linkage to the hi/lo case see pic

He seemed to say (my Japanese isn’t so good) that the pin on the inner assembly fork was broken, or he suspected it is broken, so he has disconnected/bypassed hi ration do for now we can run 1/2/3/4 and the PTO for blowing until we can get it in the shop. 3 week wait.

some cheap advertising while it’s moving!

When my transmission stopped shifting that was one of the possible problems. It's not the most fun part to get to. You will have to tear apart a lot of the transmission to get it out.

Sorry to hear thats where its headed.

Yeh it’s the worst place to get to, hence the delay to get it into the shop!
